Ryan Guth, CFP®
Founder & CEO
I have always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in personal finance. A trained classical singer raised by two music industry business owners, I have long been intimately familiar with the discipline required to be successful in one’s field and the dedication necessary to become a prosperous business owner. Even from a young age, I was drawn to books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Michael Gerber’s The E Myth Revisited, often spending more time reading than practicing my arias.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor and achieving the status of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, I worked in public education as a choral music director. At the same time, I owned and operated a private music studio, directing ensembles that appeared on The Today Show, as well as with country singer Kenny Rogers and major ensembles such as the Boston Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestras. In addition, I founded a media company which produced a podcast that continues to serve as a resource for those in the world of music education.
Being immersed in a community of richly talented professionals who still were perplexed about financial matters prompted me to explore my options in the financial industry. Having always been a student of financial literacy, I eventually recognized that a switch in careers was an inevitability. I soon changed my area of career interest from music to money.
An eager student of the business, I rapidly moved through the ranks during my time with my previous firm and received numerous honors and awards from the company for my business growth and skills in relationship building, as well as my dedication to assisting new financial advisors.
Excited to offer a wealth of new options and opportunities to valued clients who appreciate a more personalized experience, I founded Guth Financial in 2022. The formation of this firm represents the ultimate commitment to those we serve.
Outside of the office, I continually educate myself on the particulars of my field and am always eager to engage in discussions about financial markets. In addition, I remain busy with family and hobbies. Understanding the importance of a work-life balance, I make sure to spend plenty of time with my wife Amanda and our two beautiful sons, ages 1 and 3. I also enjoy learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, like to golf with friends and clients, and volunteer at my church.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
